Who Are We?
We are a community of practice that invites UNC faculty and staff to engage in contemplative practice with colleagues across the university through monthly virtual contemplative practices and other community activities
What Are Contemplative Practices?
Contemplative practices serve as a reminder to connect to what we find most meaningful through a variety of introspective and reflective practices such as mindfulness, deep listening, insight dialogue, focusing attention on present experiences, and mindful movement.
Regular practice cultivates a calm, focused mind and a kind heart.
Why Participate?
Participation provides the opportunity to experience and gain understanding of contemplative practices that may support your personal wellbeing. We also offer workshops to share ideas that can be integrated within teaching, research, and service. Practices and events are open to all who register with Mindful UNC and do not require an ongoing commitment.
